With only hours to go until the greatest show on earth kicks off, it's time to lock in my predictions. I'm finding it hard to find too many great underdogs this year - though I'm sure they'll be some - some there's the potential for these predictions to go horribly wrong early on:

Do you still think the USA can beat Germany if they go head to head Chris? I donno!

Yeh I think I blew that one already. I wildly overestimated Serbia and underestimated Germany. I thought one of the perrenial contenders would struggle but it looks like it might be England or perhaps Italy, not Germany.

Ozil looked absolutely awesome and alonh with Schweinsteiger, Mueller, Podolski and Klose they make a formidable team.

Hey Chris (or anyone), do you know if you can change captains after you have one set and they play a game?

For example, say I captain Gerrard and he only gets 4 points, can I then captain Kaka thinking that he will score more than 4?

Yes you can but I believe you have to substitute the captain out. Once you do that, you can pick a new captain from the players who have not played yet that round. So feel free to set Messi as captain today :)
