Last minute news

Apologies for not getting this out sooner. I hope no bad decisions were based on a lack of decent information. Injury roundup from around the league:

Gerrard and Torres are both confirmed to be out (Football 365). For weekly replacements I still like the Arsenal pair of Fabregas and Van Persie. I also really like Adebayor's matchup against Wigan and he is a long term buy so might be a good fir for Torres owners.

Rooney is confirmed as being out (Football365). With his upcoming fixtures, Rooney is a sell rather than bench player and as with Torres I'd go with Van Persie or Adebayor to replace him.

Van der Sar is definitely back which spells the end of Ben Foster (Football365). I considered replacements earlier in the week here.

Michael Ballack will miss the Villa game after a tackle from teammate Yuri Zhirkov while on international duty (BBC). Is there anyone I tipped this week and haven't cursed!

Eduardo is out for the Gunners (BBC)

Lescott, Toure, Bellamy and De Jong all have knocks though reports suggest they could play (BBC)

None of these really effect my clean sheet picks though obviously Rooney is out of my captaincy picks.

Suspensions
Jamie O'Hara (ineligible)
Scott Parker
Kieran Richardson

is bringing in saha worth a 4point hit?

For Rooney maybe as I think he should be sold anyway. Torres is due back in midweek so for one week, assuming you have a player that will at least start I wouldnt take the hit. Pool's fixtures arent bad in the coming weeks.

Alright. We're coming down to the wire, but I just want to make sure. Rooney out, Van Persie in? Is that the consensus?

I chose to go with Rooney out, Adebayor in. City has fantastic fixtures the next four weeks before I want to bring Rooney back in.

I think its a toss-up between Adebayor and RVP for the next 5 weeks. Both have good fixtures and should notch at least 3 goals/assists, though it will likely be 4 or 5.

I'm still tipping Murphy until after Fulham's double gameweek, took a 4 point hit to bring him in with Adebayor.

Totaly agree with Andrew - I think its a toss up between Adebayor and Van Persie. City's fixtures are a bit more up and down (some great some tough) while Van Persie doesnt really have a tough opponent in the next 5.
I like RvP more this week but certainly like the decision to bring Ade in too.

Murphy is also a good shout with the double week as the defense if too unreliable to load up on.

my new look strikeforce is Drogba, Ade and Saha.

still have Gerrard on the bench...will sell him for Milner and sure up my defense. Will leave some cash in hand for when im ready to updrade Saha...plan on trying out 3 main strikers for a month or so....

@Andrew....Murphy is a good bet

So far so good for Drogba. Lampard given the assist but he has not been in the game . . . again.
Villa are a good side and look good through Milner especially. I'm worried Cole is going to get himself sent off.
